Local-first promise

Your data goes from your browser, straight to your AI.

ApplyPilot has no backend. There's nothing to log into, no account to create, no resume uploaded to a server you'll never audit. Your resume parses in your browser. Your API key encrypts locally. Generated answers go directly from your machine to the AI provider you chose — and nowhere else.

Is this safe to use on real applications?
Yes. ApplyPilot never submits anything — every application requires your final click. Fields fill at a realistic typing pace and the extension skips CAPTCHAs cleanly. Your resume and key never leave your device.
Which AI models does it support?
Claude (Anthropic), GPT-4o (OpenAI), Gemini (Google), and DeepSeek. You pick one in the popup and paste your own API key — ApplyPilot has no model of its own and no shared inference.
Does it work on LinkedIn Easy Apply?
Yes. ApplyPilot recognises the Easy Apply modal, fills the current step, clicks Next, then re-detects and fills the next step. It stops at the final Submit step and lets you review before sending.
Is my resume uploaded anywhere?
No. PDF and DOCX parsing runs entirely in your browser using pdfjs-dist and mammoth. The parsed profile lives in IndexedDB; the raw blob lives there too in case you want to re-parse later. Nothing ever ships to a server.
What about cost? Will it burn through my API credit?
One batched LLM call per page. Direct matches (name, email, phone, LinkedIn URL, etc.) never hit the model — they fill from your parsed resume at zero cost. High-confidence answers are cached locally so repeat questions across applications are free too.
Which job sites are supported?
Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, and LinkedIn Easy Apply have dedicated detectors. For anything else, click "Scan this page" in the popup to run the generic fallback on the current form.
